Sales Scripts

Word-for-word scripts. The closer call framework and its ready-to-use lines live in sales-training; first-touch outreach scripts live in lead-sources-and-first-contact. This page holds full call-flow scripts.

NOTE FOR REVIEW: several scripts referenced by the old playbook (triage script, evergreen viewer script, group scripts, ghosted follow-up guide) live in Google Docs and are not yet in this repo. See CURATION-DECISIONS.md.

Sample setter script: emotional buyer call flow

Objective: calm the nervous system, create emotional safety, understand the situation, and transition naturally into a booked consultation.

1. Soft introduction and context

Setter: “Hi, is this [First Name]? Hey [First Name], this is [Your Name] with Rebecca Zung’s team. I’m just reaching out because it looks like you registered for one of Rebecca’s trainings recently, and I wanted to check in to see how you’re doing and what led you to sign up.”

Tone tip: calm, low volume, slow pacing, no hype. Goal: open emotional space safely.

2. Emotional validation and connection

Prospect: “Yeah, I’ve been dealing with my ex, it’s been really hard…”

Setter: “Wow, I can only imagine how draining that’s been for you. You’ve already taken a really strong step just by starting to look for support. A lot of people stay stuck for years.”

Optional follow-up: “Can I ask what made you decide that now’s the time to finally do something about it?”

Goal: validate, and understand timing and motivation.

3. Identify the core struggle

Setter: “So if I’m understanding right, the main thing you’re worried about is how things will play out in court, maybe how to protect yourself from manipulation or how to keep control of your narrative, right?”

Prospect: “Exactly.”

Setter: “Got it. That’s actually what most people in your situation come to us for. Rebecca’s team specializes in helping people build that kind of emotional and legal strategy so you don’t get blindsided.”

Goal: mirror their fear back as a solvable problem.

4. Transition into the consultation

Setter: “Based on where you’re at, it really sounds like you’d benefit from a consultation with one of our advisors. It’s a 30-minute strategy session where you can walk through what’s happening, get clarity on your next steps, and see what resources or programs might fit your situation. There’s no cost for it. It’s just about helping you get a clear plan.”

Goal: natural transition, support to strategy to session.

5. Book the appointment, with confirmation sequence

Setter: “Let’s go ahead and find a time that works for you. What time zone are you in so I make sure we book the right slot?”

Then, in order:

  1. Confirm time, then book.
  2. “Can you confirm your email for me one more time?”
  3. “Perfect. You should get the confirmation in a second. Can you check that it came through?”
  4. “Awesome. Are you comfortable using Zoom for this, or would you prefer a quick phone call?”
  5. “And you’ll have about 30 minutes of uninterrupted time for the session, right?”

Goal: reduce friction, confirm logistics, reduce no-shows.

6. Close warmly and exit efficiently

Setter: “Perfect, you’re all set for [Day + Time]. You’ll be meeting with [Advisor Name]. You’ll get an email and text with her info and a Zoom link. She’ll reach out just to introduce herself before your session. Thanks again for taking this step. You’re doing the right thing.”

Goal: leave them feeling safe, supported, and certain, not sold.

Note on voice compliance: this setter flow deliberately runs warmer than the closer-side Language of Leverage rules, because its audience is emotional buyers at first contact. If leadership wants the setter flow brought into strict leverage language, that is a rewrite decision, not a copy edit. Flagged in CURATION-DECISIONS.md.
